The BBC News' Magazine [bbc.com] tells how accelerated melting of Alpine glaciers has given rise to glacial archaeology. Household items from 5000 years ago have been found, as has Oetzi [wikipedia.org], a corpse from 5300 years ago. The bodies of mountain climbers who died in the 1970s and 1980s have recently been recovered.
Many pages make a thick book, except for pocket Bibles which are on very
