AI theorist Eliezer Yudkowsky [azquotes.com] coined Moore's Law of Mad Science: "Every eighteen months, the minimum IQ necessary to destroy the world drops by one point."
If IQ drops one point every 18 months. Considering the modern day technology is about 30 years old, and the typical person has an IQ of about 114, then in about 30 more years, a dog will be smart enough to destroy the world, or even a republican. Not sure which is smarter.
